Angelina Jolie Has a Political 'Mentor' as She Prepares for Possible Government Role

A source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that the actress, 40, has "struck up a close friendship" with British House of Lords member Baroness Arminka Helic.
The insider explains the Unbrokendirector, who moved to London with husband Brad Pitt and their six children in February, "is readying herself for what could be a full-time commitment with the British government."
Adds the source, "Arminka helps Angelina make decisions about her next political move. Angie considers her a mentor."
The political pals' relationship dates back to 2012 when Helic was an aide to British foreign secretary William Hague. The actress and Hague had partnered on an anti-sexual violence initiative that year. In September 2015, Jolie and Helic, 48, cowrote an article for The Times asking the world to stand in solidarity to help Syrian refugees.
Now, as Jolie is preparing for a greater role in the political realm, she is trusting her new council entirely — and including her in family events. The source adds that Helic even spends time with Jolie and Pitt’s six children
