Egyptian Judo Fighter Refuses to Shake Israeli Opponent's Hand After Olympic Loss

Egyptian judoka Islam El Shehaby was loudly booed on Friday for refusing to shake the hand of his Israeli opponent, Or Sasson, after a first-round loss inRio. 

Sasson, who is ranked 5th in the world, defeated El Shehaby with two throws with about 90 seconds remaining in the bout. 

After the loss, El Shehaby remained flat on his back for a beat before standing to take his place before Sasson, who extended his hand. El Shehaby then backed away, shaking his head, as Sasson moved forward in an attempt to shake hands. 

Judokas typically bow or shake hands as a sign of respect at the beginning and end of a match. El Shahaby's refusal to do so marks an extreme breach of Judo etiquette. 

"That is extremely rare in judo," the American coach Jimmy Pedro told the New York Times. "It is especially disrespectful considering it was a clean throw and a fair match. It was completely dishonorable and totally unsportsmanlike on the part of the Egyptian." 

The International Judo Federation told The Associated Press that the fact that the two nations even agreed to the fight was a sign of progress. Egypt was the first country in the Arab world to sign a peace treaty and normalize relations with Israel after decades of fighting. 

"This is already a big improvement that Arabic countries accept to (fight) Israel," IJF spokesman Nicolas Messner said in an email to the AP. 

He added that El Shahaby's "attitude will be reviewed after the games to see if any further action should be taken." 

In the lead-up to the match, El Shahaby came under pressure from nationalist commentators in Egypt to withdraw.

"My son watch out, don't be fooled, or fool yourself thinking you will play with the Israeli athlete to defeat him and make Egypt happy," Mataz Matar, a TV host in Al-Sharq Islamist-leaning network said Thursday. "Egypt will cry; Egypt will be sad and you will be seen as a traitor and a normalizer in the eyes of your people."

Back in 2014, Kidman admitted that she would love to expand her family even more. "I hope every month that I'm pregnant, but I never am. I would be jumping for joy if it happens. I'm 47, it won't happen," she said on Australia's KIIS 1065 radio station that December. "I'm baby crazy. I love babies … kids, they are just extraordinary."

She added of Urban, laughing: "He might not be jumping for joy."

Justin Timberlake’s new track “Can’t Stop the Feeling” is super catchy, and there’s proof. The former boybander released a snippet of the upcoming track along with a star-studded video clip via Twitter ahead of the full tune's 9 p.m. PT release on Thursday, May 5.

In the quick sneak peek of the video, Trolls stars Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar and Icona Pop bop around to the beat. The flick also stars Timberlake, who voices Branch.

This is the first song we’ve heard from Timberlake since he became a dad. The former ’Nsync member welcomed son Silas with wife Jessica Biel in April 2015.

Trolls is scheduled to hit theaters November 4.

A source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that the actress, 40, has "struck up a close friendship" with British House of Lords member Baroness Arminka Helic.

The insider explains the Unbrokendirector, who moved to London with husband Brad Pitt and their six children in February, "is readying herself for what could be a full-time commitment with the British government."

Adds the source, "Arminka helps Angelina make decisions about her next political move. Angie considers her a mentor."

The political pals' relationship dates back to 2012 when Helic was an aide to British foreign secretary William Hague. The actress and Hague had partnered on an anti-sexual violence initiative that year. In September 2015, Jolie and Helic, 48, cowrote an article for The Times asking the world to stand in solidarity to help Syrian refugees.

Jay Z is reportedly working on a comeback album to Beyonce's Lemonade which will reveal his side of their marriage troubles.

The couple's relationship has come under increased scrutiny after Bey released her explosive new album which repeatedly references a cheating partner.

Although neither Jay or Bey have addressed the speculation, the 46-year-old rapper is said to be planning to make a record of his own which will chronicle his side of the story.

A source told US Weekly: "Jay is working on an album telling his side of things."

In one hard-hitting clip on Beyoncé's visual LP - which debuted on HBO - a couple were seen cuddling up to one another, as the brunette beauty sings: "Looking at my watch he should have been home. I regret the day I put that ring on."

The source added: "The album says it all. It explains how she and Jay got through their problems. The good outweighed the bad, so she gave him a second chance."

It comes after Beyonce 's cousin claimed the couple endured a number of "silent separations" over the years.

Speaking to heat magazine , Shanica Knowles said: "Beyonce has been encouraged to write about the affair rumours to help her deal with it all and help her determine whether she could work through everything or have to end the marriage.

"This has been a long process and I've heard they've had to deal with silent separations and splits over the past few years, but Bey is praying this album will actually save her marriage."

Shanica appeared to hint that her cousin has had to deal with her man being unfaithful, claiming she has been furious but is "learning to forgive".

Music to our ears! Blake Sheltonand Gwen Stefani are set to perform their new duet together for the first time on The Voicestage Monday night, a source confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. 

The duo wrote the song "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" together last fall and finally revealed last month it would appear as the ninth track on Shelton's upcoming album If I'm Honest, out May 20. 

"We were at a point where it's like, 'Do we want to go there? What will people think?' And then we finally just got to the point where it's like, 'You know what? I don't give a s–––," the country star told PEOPLE previously about the song. 

"I love this song! This song's important to us and the fact that we wrote it together is so important to both of us," he added. 

In mid-April, Stefani excitedly tweeted about the song, posting a photo of her boyfriend's album. 

"Look what I found lying round the house! #ispymyname #goaheadandbreakmyheart @blakeshelton #eeeekkkk! #crazy!" she wrote.
